You've heard of "YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT", but I like to say “YOU ARE WHAT YOU DIGEST!”

You actually get a lot of your enzymes from the foods that you eat. However, the problem is that foods these days are lacking in enzymes because of over processing. Over a lifetime of eating, our bodies' ability to manufacture enzymes can get overworked. This is due to a lack of eating foods that have natural enzymes in them.

What should you eat?
I would heartily encourage you to make sure you are eating live foods. Green vegetables and low sugar fruits provide those natural enzymes. Also, meats that are not so overcooked that all the enzymes are cooked out of them. Vegetables as well, should only be lightly cooked in order to retain those crucial enzymes. Many times, to improve efficient digestion, our clinic suggests that people take an enzyme product to introduce healthy enzymes with each meal.

You know....it bothers me when I hear people exclaim, 'Oh I should have come into the clinic earlier and I could have avoided these issues!' Did you know that the first sign of a symptom means that the imbalance has been taking place months before that symptom manifests? Your body has the amazing ability to compensate for imbalances as a mechanism to keep you alive, thus once you finally realize a symptom, the imbalance could have been occurring for years prior. This is why I always tell clients “With a holistic approach, we aim to get to the root cause of why you have symptoms. And since it didn't occur overnight, it will take time to correct. But at least you are fixing the problem rather than covering the symptoms up with a band-aide drug.”

There are many things taking place in your life that can shift your body out of balance. Preventative health is critical in order to keep moving in a positive direction with your health. It will provide you with the ongoing vitality that we all value!

If you struggle with poor digestive health, allergies, fatigue, brain fog, joint pain, or even an autoimmune disease, I would encourage you to get to the root cause and don’t settle for it being covered up with medication. It will only get worse over time.
