What is Breathwork?
BREATHE with Janell classes are based on a specific type of conscious, connected breathing. Group Classes, Semi-Private and Individual Breathwork lessons are offered at Total Health. Learn the most efficient, down-to-earth strategies based on the science of human anatomy. Breathwork awakens participants to the powerful transformation that can occur with deep and connected breathing.
Why will this Benefit me?
Our breathing is responsible for up to 70% of our detoxification! Practicing Breathwork resets the nervous system, working directly with the diaphragm (a breathing muscle), affecting our digestion, and stimulating the vagus nerve to promote optimal health in a wide array of bodily functions. Each time you participate in a breathwork session, your experience will be different depending on your intentions that day. No two people's experiences will be exactly the same.
What is the Key to Breathwork?
The key is that you have to put in the effort. If breathwork hasn't changed your life yet, then you either are not doing it when you need to or often enough. There are no quick fixes in life, but after an hour of breathwork, it is possible to walk out feeling completely different than when you walked in. Maybe Breathwork isn't for you, but if you keep an open mind, you might just have one of the most profound life changing experiences of your life. If you have an open mind, breathwork can benefit you.
Are there any Contraindications?
There have been zero reports of harmful occurrences during this breathwork, but there are some possible side effects, precautions and contraindications to be informed of, as there are with every form of exercise. Your instructor is a Physical Therapist with nearly 30 years of combined experience. Janell will guide you safely through all aspects of the breathwork during class. Participants are required to fill out a health history and waiver form, and review their individual needs prior to starting the class. Please consult with your health care provider before starting class if you have medical concerns.
What Should I Bring to Class?
We provide a safe space during classes or individual sessions with the goal of creating real, lasting change in your life, but you need to show up with an open mind to put in the effort. Participants will bring their own cushioned exercise mat, a water bottle, and if desired for added comfort, a pillow or blanket.

Semi-Private Groups are available for $500 for four 60 min. classes (5 people maximum). Organizer of private group will receive one complimentary 30min. individualized session worth $100, as well. Prepayment is required. Call 262-251-2929 for more details, and to schedule the sessions.
