Lemon-Aid: A Secret Weapon to Crush Cravings

Nothing quite satisfies on a hot summer day like lemonade. Unfortunately, most commercial lemonade varieties come loaded with sugar, and you know better than to use those nasty artificially sweetened powdered mixes!

This Lemon-Aid not only is a satisfying, delicious drink, but it also helps curbs your cravings for sweets. The “secret” involves a powerful combo of fresh lemons (which help balance blood sugar), fiber (which fills you up faster and keeps you full), and the amino acid glutamine, which knocks out cravings.

INGREDIENTS 

Lemon-Aid makes 32 oz

• Zest and juice of 1 lemon

• 32 ounces filtered water

• 1 teaspoon glutamine powder

• 1⁄2 of a thinly sliced lemon

• 1-2 tablespoons chia seeds

Directions

In a pitcher, combine the lemon zest and juice with the water. Add the glutamine powder and chia seeds. Stir well and gently stir in the lemon slices.
